Discover talents. Unlock creativity. Join a family-owned tradition—and shine as you.
At Deer Mountain Day Camp, your child will become an unforgettable part of our story.
Our story began in 1956, when the Katz family founded the camp. Since then, we have all been committed to the same goal: to help every camper enhance their positive qualities and embrace who they are – as each becomes a unique and essential part of our community.
Deer Mountain’s heart and soul pulses throughout our transformative setting. The strength of our history, culture, and community comes from both campers and staff members. Our ties span generations. The impact we have on our campers keeps them in touch with us—and each other—well into adulthood. Many return as counselors—both to recreate their warm memories for a new generation, and to remain a part of our strong tradition.
Our campers range from 3-15. We offer your child a sleep away camp’s range of activities, facilities, and staff, each program crafted to meet their ages and developmental levels, in a day camp setting. Taught by experts we scout out, these activities give your child a chance to try and learn new things, excel at some, and always have a blast.
Located in Pomona, NY (Rockland County), we’re easily accessible to families in NYC, Brooklyn, Bergen, Westchester, Rockland and Orange Counties as well as Hoboken and Jersey City. Our mountainside setting—with 25 acres and a spring-fed lake—feels far removed from everyday life.
